Does Massage Therapy help Cardiovascular Health to allow for a healthier Life?

Meet Bobby.

A newly divorced Truck Driver for a Distribution company that needs him to make coast to coast deliveries.  His schedule calls for him to be on the road more than your average person.  We can all relate slightly to the fact that it is physically painful to drive for long periods of time.

Bobby is a real "sturdy" guy, so he just forges on with his duties.   Driving through Wind, Rain, and even Snow causes unforeseen adjustments in comfortable driving.  His skills and his body allow him to stabilize the entire truck, but not without cost.  He's on the road so much that his eating habits are not the best.  When he gets hungry, it is a matter of what blue sign, showing many food places, he will choose to go to.  Fast food can't be good for a person that travels non-stop, but with very minimal physical movement.  Muscle weakness causes the body to work harder to complete the simple tasks as well.

Bobby feels a little winded when he gets out of his truck on his break.  He begins to feel his heart beat harder than normal and seeing spots as bright as the stars in the sky.  As he stumbles into the restaurant to order his dinner, the clerk asks if he is going to be okay.  Bobby is sweating profusely and falls to the floor, passed out.  Unfortunately, it seems as if Bobby won't be making his deliveries this time around.

There isn't much more to discuss other than the fact that February is the Month of American Heart Health.  The awareness needed for the most important and powerful organ in the body goes beyond most people's awareness.  Directing your awareness to the fact that if Bobby took the time to make a Massage Therapy routine, he might have not had the panic attack like he did.  Massage is a prime candidate to manage and even overcome many heart issues.  Everything from spotty circulation to full-on heart disease, the primary effects of Massage can neutralize them in some way.  Depending on what your Therapist can do for you, you could find a big difference in the way your body flows.  Let's learn what exactly can Massage do for our Cardiovascular System.

A person that lives a stressed and hyperactive lifestyle has to understand that the heart has to compensate for the mental intention.  If a task is done when the system isn't compatible with the amount of energy needed, it can have detrimental outcomes for the Heart that hinder it.  Almost as if the heart is hurting itself.

Receiving Massage for your Heart Health trigger the endorphins that contribute to the hormones that gives our body that comforting feeling.  In the same moment, the already high levels of cortisol and adrenaline are suppressed to allow the body to reach balance with a less overworked heart.  Since the heart's workload is alleviated by the Therapist's bodywork, this allows the blood pressure to "take a break"  if it's high- also Therapist facilitation when the pressure is low.

In my experiences with having a diagnosis of PTSD, Massage seems to also move the body out of the Fight or Flight world that it lives, to a more peaceful state of Being.  When the nervous system is facilitated, I can't help but to feel that a muscle- that is wrapped in nerves like The Heart-could also be balanced, managed, and regulated by Massage Therapy.

The blood's transportation is a critical concept on a cellular level also.  The blood transports nutrients that the body needs, oxygen that the brain needs- all sorts of Physiological processes.  If the blood isn't transferred in a stable and productive way because the heart is stressed, the rest of the bodily functions that take place must suffer.

Our eating habits are a contributing factor to why most people should be using Massage as a therapeutic method of managing their heart health.  That then translates to our physical health and how it influences what inefficiencies our Cardiovascular System has, as a baseline.

Acknowledge that there are ways of managing these concepts as you implement Massage Therapy into the Routine.  For me primarily, I chose to make a full effort to walk everywhere I go. Taking consistent walks are an excellent way to establish a healthy baseline.  Shifting into a healthier process of food intake will go a long way whether you eat bad or if you already eat in a healthy way.  I tend to try my best to cut out the Sugar because of the consistency it changes the blood to.  It's really a matter of adjusting the way the heart pumps, the way the blood flows, and how the muscles respond when the veins are concerned.

Heart Health Management isn't an easy thing to stay on top of.  Just think of the many ways Bobby could have avoided his Panic Attack.  The way he managed his heart health was negligent to the idea of convenience which ended up being the cause of his ailment.

The body can only take so much before it has to let you know something is wrong.  Be certain that you consult with your available Physician to know what restraints that you may have.  So every February from here on out, make sure you take heed of your individual Heart Health so that you could extend the performance of your own Future.
