Greetings again! As a Veteran of the US Army, I have been constructing a less materialistic way of living. I wanted to share with everyone what I personally implement when living a minimalistic lifestyle. It's not easy in the slightest bit. It takes alot of discipline and structure but people see it a something that causes chaos. With the right mindset and an experienced person to lay out some tools and tricks, it could be a pretty sweet diet or an extreme learning experience for you. I find it rather meditative in all senses of the word. We have the 3 Basic Needs for Human Survival already engraved into our souls so we might as well use it.
Housing: So I live in a studio that costs $850 per month. Keeping the fundamental survival needs on some sort of financial auto-pilot makes the whole process easy to maintain over longer periods of time. Since it is an apartment complex, maintenance is a non-issue for me. There are so many means to manage less than my situation (I'd love to scale down on housing) like with a Camping setup; https://amzn.to/31iTafT or if you have an RV then there's no need for the big house.
Clothing: There shouldn't be so impulsive of a need for clothing that bends the pole in your closet. I've reconsidered the idea that I'd rather wear something with my own logo rather than someone else's. Maybe it's more about the society's sickness of materialism. I live in the desert and I wear black tactical cargo pants and black T-shirts all the time. Cutting back on expensive branded clothing trends leaves alot of pocket room. Don't worry what celebrities wear and you'll see all the more money you'll probably save in a long run. There should be a primary shoe in your life that has utility and durability. It cann can be a nice frugal purchase on a Work shoe that's made for comfort could possibly deflect you from fast wear and tear and possibly some foot pain. https://amzn.to/3j4G6Rf
Food: Now I'm definitely not the best to consult with about food. I personally do an unregulated Fast with water and rice. Maybe some meat sprinkled within a two week time period. If Youre already financially tight, I'd just stick to Raw fruits and veggies and work on where your emotional identification rests. This simple tactic could conform itself into a diet someday but I've yet to relate to anyone about said diet Lol.
Given that a person has the right mindset, we could get accustomed to a New way to live beneath our supposed needs.
