Some people cannot grasp the idea that they need a form of healing to intervene within their lives. I was not one of those people. The manner I speak of is aligned with ignoring the signs on Purpose.
I used to love playing basketball when I was growing up in Philadelphia, and I did so all way up to 2007-08. I was playing ball with one of the 2 friends I actually had. I took a shot and missed; but as I grabbed my own rebound, on the way down, this 280lb friend came down on my ankle as it was already rolled on its side. I went down like a ton of bricks, crying. My friend didn't know what to do because he was asking me what to do. Did I say take me to the emergency room? Nope. I said, take me to my best friend, A's house.
We went and I told her what happened and she told me to sit on the recliner. Now my best friend A. had knowledge in witchcraft and other natural arts and she said she could help. She put her hands on my ankle and the pain that was flaring through my body, simply isolated itself to the point of the injury. It subsided to the point that I could actually limp. This was the point I knew that I could heal people as well, even after my military history. That history allowed me to understand the contrast of Life and Death which made living a normal life impossible until 2013.
I moved from NC to Flagstaff Arizona with a battle buddy in my unit because he had addiction issues and I didn't want to move on to something more. He lived around the corner from a Big Purple Massage School. That move would later align me to my purpose; only I tried to live the next two years like everyone else. Such ignorance I intentionally portrayed but Flagstaff was a small tourist town, I figured that its not going anywhere.
In 2015 after bombing my last relationship, and then starting another with an aquatic massage therapist, I decided to enroll into ASIS Massage Education. http://asismassage.edu/
So as I am learning massage through school and a partnership, the signs just became too obvious to purposely ignore. I was trained in Watsu while getting taught in school many different Modalities of the Art. My Watsu session i had received definitely shone the Light on my road to redemption. At that point, I took it so seriously that the classmates were segregating me because they felt I was getting side training; in which I was. Astrology and Eastern medicine was all a minor part of my knowledge but as a Scorpio, I understood more than your average person could grasp the unseen world. Even though my class didn't get as much experience as I did, I didn't let them stop me from getting my hours in.
I was massaging in a 2 on 1 massage format with my partner because while in school, it wasn't good to practice without a license. But when school was over 6 months later and I received my license, I WENT CRAZY with it. I was massaging at Conventions, Expos. There was an Oktoberfest that we had to massage their VIP area. 2 back to back years massaging the Southwest Cannabis Conference. There were a lot of clients for the home studio my partner had, but that's where the Tandem Massage came into the picture as a very effective modality. I became fascinated while assisting my partner in the Watsu sessions as well so being in the water got me over my fears and allowed me to connect with my Grandmother and connect with my own body. I barely felt the need to even charge people, but it was necessary in order for people to know it was legitimate.
Since 2018, I have only offered massage for therapeutic reasons for people that I know and trust. Freelance Massage Therapist is what we'll call it. I have a stronger goal to be able to assimilate a therapeutic measure in parts of society where it is least acknowledged and appreciated. Not only have I exceeded my level back then, but I have found a theoretical approach to be able to physically apply to other peoples lives. Healing goes so far when you allow it to integrate with your spirit in whatever way necessary. It doesn't matter what form or modality your body resonates with, as long as it resonates in a way that shifts or redirects your reality.
